Tarim Wasim

Director, Treasurer

Tarim is a co-founder of ADP and has played a key role in building the organization. He was actively involved in ADP's earthquake relief efforts, rural teacher first aid training and bio-sand water filter projects. He is currently a Principal at Hellman & Friedman, a private equity firm. Tarim was previously at Bain Capital and began his career as a consultant at Bain & Company. He holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from Dartmouth College. He currently lives in San Francisco and grew up in Karachi and Islamabad.

Mubarik Imam

Director, President

Mubarik joined ADP in 2003. She led ADP's science lab project and was active in earthquake redevelopment investments. Outside of ADP, she was involved with several development initiatives such as setting up computer and science labs in Pakistani villages, designing the Dominican Republic's first science museum and working on energy/IT related development projects in Lesotho. Mubarik is also a co-founder of Ghonsla, a startup building low-cost residential insulation. She is the youngest fellow to be selected by the Acumen Fund. Mubarik holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from MIT. She currently resides in San Francisco and grew up in Lahore.

Mehreen Siddiqi

Operations Director

Mehreen joined ADP in 2010 and manages the global operations of the organization. After completing her LL.B from the Pakistan College of Law, Mehreen worked as an Associate at Ramday Law Associates for two years. Mehreen holds an LL.M from the University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Global Affairs from New York University (NYU) where her focus was Human Rights and Humanitarian Assistance.

While at NYU, Mehreen interned with UNDP’s Environment and Energy Group and was involved with a project designed to facilitate developing countries gain access to carbon finance. She also interned with the Gender Based Violence Section of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) where she was involved with raising awareness for violence against women.

Salman Naveed Khan

Volunteer Manager

Salman is a Mechanical Engineer and has worked in various Project Management roles on engineering and construction projects in Pakistan and the Middle East. He has also been involved in setting up two start-up companies in Pakistan and KSA. He is currently based out of Lahore and is passionate about developing bespoke solutions in the occupational safety, environment and learning management domains.

Shahan Zafar

Diligence Manager

Shahan joined ADP in 2006 and has been actively involved in improving ADP’s project evaluation processes. He is also part of the fundraising team. Shahan is currently a Senior Associate at Vector Capital, a private equity firm. Previously, Shahan was an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley. Shahan graduated from Middlebury College with a major in Economics. He currently lives in San Francisco and grew up in Lahore.

Usman Hassan

Fundraising Lead

Usman joined ADP in 2008. He has worked on multiple projects for ADP’s diligence in the meantime. Usman is based in Boston, MA and works for Oliver Wyman Consulting. As part of his consulting work, Usman has done projects across the US and the Middle East. Usman attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and completed degrees in Engineering and Business. Usman grew up in Lahore, and enjoys playing squash.

Nabeel Shakeel Ahmed

Manager, Media Team

Nabeel is the head of ADP’s Media team and the chief editor of the official ADP blog, Dastak. He also publicizes the activities of ADP through social media marketing. His work also includes research, volunteer coordination and graphic design. Outside of ADP, Nabeel is the managing editor of SocialFinance.ca at the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing, and a project coordinator for the Tessellate Institute. He graduated from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi and has studied public administration and leadership at Ryerson University, Toronto. He enjoys sports, photography, and staying busy.
